Dr. Fraser Brenneis
Born and raised in Edmonton, Dr. Fraser Brenneis received his medical degree from the University of Alberta in 1982. He completed his residency training in Family Medicine with Certification of the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 1984 and became a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 2000.
Dr. Brenneis joined the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry (FoMD) as a clinical lecturer in 1987, followed by assistant professor in 1990, and became an associate professor in 1997. He practiced at Edmonton’s Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) from 1984-2017 and now bases his clinical care and teaching in family medicine at the MacEwan University Health Centre.
Dr. Brenneis served in a number of academic administration roles in the Department of Family Medicine, the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and the College of Family Physicians of Canada. His current practice interests include student health.
In his spare time Dr Brenneis can be found puttering in his back yard, walking the family dogs, and wandering an occasional golf course.
